Pregnancy Stages

The full term pregnancy of about 40 weeks is divided into three trimesters.

The first trimester is formed of the first 12 weeks, the first week being the one that had the last menstrual cycle before conception.

The second trimester is from week 13 through 28.

The third trimester is from week 29 through 40 or till the baby is born.
