A young adult age is the best one for supporting a healthy pregnancy. The experts however believe that it is in the best interest of the mother and the child if the mother is at least 18 years or older.
The pregnancy rates amongst the teens has been ticking up in the recent years. Secondly, the number of teens who want to become teen parents is also increasing. Even while the experts cite the young age as not capable of bearing the strains of a pregnancy, the teens seem to have a different opinion about teenage pregnancy. This might be due to sheer ignorance of consequences on their part or even a mark of rebellion against the established norms of the society.
Regardless of the reasons a teen might end up becoming pregnant, we feel the need to help them to carry the pregnancy to it’s full term and give birth to a healthy baby. The teens also should have access to information about the choices they might have with regards to the pregnancy and taking care of it.
