Celebration

The birth of a baby is celebrated not only by the parents of the baby but by all relatives, friends and well wishers of the family. The parents, and especially the mother, have the greatest reason to celebrate as giving birth to a child is no less than a miracle. The pains of the long and hard pregnancy are forgotten when the baby arrives!

Even before the baby is born, the parents get busy finding a name for the baby. Then comes preparing a room for him or her and buying the furniture that goes in it! Stacking up on the clothes and things needed by a baby are also taken care of.

Before the baby is born, and sometimes even after the childbirth, the friends and family organize a baby shower to bring as many gifts as they can for the mom and the baby. The friends play games to guess the sex of the child, if not already known. The fun of a baby shower relaxes the mother.

Going to the childbirth classes to practice breathing and pushing during labor is also like a celebration for many. For others it is like a part of the preparation for the celebration that comes with the arrival of the baby.
